PROJECT DESCRIPTION

In the heart of downtown Bethesda, this restaurant is sat in between a vast shopping district . With an traditional American cuisine, Redwood offers an amazing dining experience and views that resemble a European setting.

CHALLENGE

Situated in the center of all Bethesda’s action, the owner and architect needed to give Redwood an open and welcoming feel to attract passersby as well as create an ambiance for diners that is delightfully paired with their exquisite menu.

SOLUTION

The owner and architect incorporated LaCantina bifold Clad-wood windows into the complete wall that lines the retail filled street. Opening up the restaurant to the European cobble stone street all while maintaining the Traditional American modern ambiance for diners to enjoy.

COMMENTARY

“Redwoods enormous front windows, cracked open in good weather, capture a lounge that looks like a cocktail party you want in on and a dining room that has California written all over it.” Says Griz Dwight, architect of the award winning Redwood Bethesda Restaurant.
